Kizer X You 24'Winter - Design Contest Guidelines

To build an open and creative EDC knife community and dig out more brilliant designers and excellent designs, Kizer continues the concept of ”Kizer X You“ for 2024 Winter.

And we're excited to announce the latest season of the 'Kizer X You' Competition. This time, the theme is "Sharing" and the winning design will be launched in 2024 winter~

Here're the competition guideline for this season:

🌟 How to Enter:

1️⃣ Design a knife based on the theme "Sharing."

2️⃣ Send your design with the subject Kizer X You for Winter '24 to our R&D team at rnd@kizercutlery.com before April 13th at 11 pm.

🔪 Submission Requirements:

• Theme: Your submission must be related to the theme of "Sharing"
• Draft: The draft must include your design, design name, design inspiration, designer's name, and the specification of the knife(size, configuration, etc).

• Blade lengths: Folding knives should be less than 3.5 inches, fixed blade knives less than 6 inches.
• Each person can submit only one design.
• All designs must be original; copying or plagiarism is strictly prohibited.

😎Scoring Rules: 

1️⃣ Our R&D team will select finalists to proceed to the Voting Phase according to the following criteria: 

① Creativity ② Ergonomics ③ Functionality ④ Aesthetics 

⭐Kizer will send the score to a notary to ensure fairness,

⭐To prevent vote bias, these scores will remain confidential during the voting process.

2️⃣The Finalist designs will be voted on social media. The score of this phase corresponds to the vote ranking

Top 1=100; Top 2=95; Top 3=90…

⭐Final Score = score given by Kizer+ score from Voting.

⭐If there is a tie, the one with the higher vote score will be the winner.

🗓 Contest Timeline: 

3/31-4/13: Submission 

4/14-4/18: Evaluation by Kizer Team

4/19-4/23: Voting on all social media

4/24: Winner Announcement on YouTube Live

🏆 Amazing Prizes: 

🥇 1st Place (Top 1): Become our contracted designer

🥈 2nd Place (Finalists): Pick your favorite Kizer knife

🥉 3rd Place (Other participants): Enjoy a 20% discount.

**NOTE

1. If your design is contracted, Kizer will keep in touch with you regarding the feasibility of your design. Kizer reserves the right to decide on appearance, structure, and configuration based on market demand.
2. The top 1 is scheduled to be released in Q4 2024. If your design is selected and contracted, you need to adhere to our development timeline.
3. Kizer has the right to use your name and design for marketing and promotional purposes related to the Kizer X You project.
4. If your entry involves infringement of other brands or products, Kizer is not responsible and reserves the right to pursue legal liability.
5. Kizer commits to not using your design unless a contract has been signed.
