Excellent EDC

While I wouldn't necessarily recommend the Brat as a hard-use knife, as an everyday EDC for the (sub)urban gentleman, there's a lot to like about it. 154CM is excellent steel, easy to sharpen to a fine edge and to keep sharp. The blade shape and size is perfect for general use, with jimping from stop pin to halfway up the blade length, and an attractive swedge dropping to a strong point. Handles push cuts wonderfully, and draw cuts equally well with a generous belly on the edge. The integral frame is exceptionally comfortable, solidly made and reasonably tough, lending itself to superior button action. No stick whatsoever, minimal drag on the blade while opening. As a lefty, I might prefer a mounting option for the pocket clip on the left side of the handle (and there appears to be internal milling to accommodate this into the design), but my example was not drilled to allow for it. Not a deal breaker, though. If you're curious about the mechanics of an integral-framed folding knife, this is a great example to introduce yourself to. A quality knife. I am happy to have added the Brat to the handful of Azo's designs that I now own. This is a well-made example of his talent.

Blade movement when locked out

Hello, good afternoon, I had made a purchase on February 1, 2025 for three folding knives. Order # 44898. The Cormorant and Towser K are great knives. Very good action and strong.

The last knife, the Brat, was not a very good knife. After the knife is deployed, there is a lot of blade play when it's locked out. You can move the blade back and forth when it's locked out. This is unacceptable. I would like to exchange the knife for a better quality knife or even exchange it for a different model. Thank you for your time.

Brat

It’s great knife, a welcome addition to my EDC collection. Simple but effective, it kind of reminds me of a Glock pistol. Simple but reliable I like it a lot.
