This knife is great and the micarta is the awesome linen that Kizer does really well. I love the shape of the flipper tab, as it functions as a great finger rest when the knife is open. Because there is no forward choil, it lets you still grip close to the blade. It’s a nice design that Kizer does often.
The only reason I give 4.5 is that the bearing action feels a little “gritty” on mine when I open and close it. It is still smooth enough, and I have cleaned the bearings, but it feels almost like one of the bearing balls is slightly deformed, and the unevenness is amplified because the blade is so big. It just isn’t as hydraulic as the other 3 Kizer button locks that I own.
