The Vanguard V4458A1 Begleiter folder by Kizer Cutlery is a slender, yet tactical everyday carry piece that we feel brings much more to the table than its price point would suggest. It features a 3.5" VG10 blade with a drop point shape and gray titanium coating. The bronze washers allow for smooth blade opening, as with all Kizer knives, and the action is quick, snappy and authoritative. Great knife for the money, excellent classy EDC
For 50 bucks, you can't go wrong. VG-10 is a great steel in this price range and the knife is so slim and pocketable that I don't think it's possible for it to be uncomfortable like some larger knives. Great gift knife for sure. Only downside is the coating on the blade doesn't seem too horribly durable, but not awful by any means. Also the blade had a pretty bad edge on it out of box, but I haven't seen others saying this so I assume mine was just an unfortunate defect. Quick sharpening did the job nicely.
